Navigating sea miles can be time-consuming, so it's crucial to be adequately prepared for changing weather conditions such as intense sunlight, precipitation, strong winds, and fluctuating temperatures. Getting ready for a catamaran voyage involves several steps to ensure comfort and safety during the journey. Here are a few tips that might help:
What to pack
Appropriate clothing
Dalmatia is the sunniest part of Croatia, with temperatures exceeding 20 degrees from May to October and reaching 30 degrees in July and August. Therefore, it's advisable to pack lightweight and breathable clothing, preferably made from breathable materials such as T-shirts, shorts, and, of course, swimsuits.
In case of variable weather or strong winds, having a rain jacket or a storm jacket is recommended. Be prepared for cooler days and nights by including sweatpants, hoodies, or sweaters in your packing. Remember to pack at least one set of warm clothing.
Headgear is a crucial element of yachting attire. On sunny days, a cap with a visor, a scarf, or a hat will provide excellent protection from the sun. For cooler days and nights, consider packing a hat or an ear warmer.
Don't forget about more formal attire! Docking in charming towns is an excellent opportunity to take beautiful vacation photos or dine in a restaurant.
Footwear
The shoes you bring on board must be comfortable for you, but it's also essential to ensure they are suitable for the catamaran- no high heels or shoes with black, dirt-marking soles. Flat-soled shoes that are not slippery and provide good traction on the deck are ideal.
Considering that Croatia's rocky coastlines are often covered with sea urchins, comfortable water shoes are a necessity when going ashore.

What to pack for the journey
Remember that the storage space on a catamaran is limited, so it's wise to pack in a soft bag. Suitcases or backpacks with frames are impractical as they take up a lot of space and may damage the upholstered and wooden elements of the catamaran.
